Dreame X50 Master — Robot Vacuum & Mop

The X50 Master's PowerDock 8-in-1 at just 24.9 cm wide is genuinely remarkable. It fits in spaces where no other premium dock would. Despite its size it packs 100-day auto-emptying, 176°F hot water wash, UV sterilisation, hot air drying and auto solution mixing. The 20,000 Pa TurboForce suction is formidable. The HyperStream brush handled my wife's long hair without a single tangle. Outstanding.

After years of robots that leave dust along the walls, the X50 Master finally solves the edge cleaning problem. The dual flexible arm extends both the side brush and the mop beyond the chassis. The difference is visible immediately: clean skirting boards and corners for the first time. VersaLift navigation with retractable sensors is remarkably smooth. ProLeap handles our Victorian door thresholds effortlessly.

The X50 Master offers 5 carpet modes and the difference is noticeable. On our thin hallway runner it adjusts power to avoid lifting. On the thick bedroom carpet it ramps up to the full 20,000 Pa. The auto solution mixing is genuinely useful for mopping. The app could be more intuitive for custom zone configuration. But the cleaning performance is superb across all our floor types.

With three cats at home I was worried about constant jams. The 3DAdapt AI recognises over 200 objects and perfectly avoids cat toys, food bowls and even hairballs. The anti-tangle brush handles cat hair without any issues whatsoever. The UV sterilisation on the dock is reassuring with pets. Very pleased, though the 58 dB noise level is audible when working nearby.

The X50 Master is technically impressive. The 20,000 Pa TurboForce, 60 mm ProLeap, 3DAdapt AI and 24.9 cm compact dock make it exceptional. Cleaning is near-perfect on all surfaces. However, the price is steep and for a standard 70 sqm flat without carpets, the advanced features may be overkill. For large homes with carpets and pets, the investment is justified.
